Arching unbranched stems, clusters of showy bell-shaped flowers mid-summer to early fall. Cross-pollinated by honeybees, bumblebees, Swallowtail butterflies. Seed capsules are eaten by Mallard, Black Duck, Blue-Winged Teal, Green-Winged Teal and Wood Duck.
